New years resolutions never work. We all make a list of things we want to change about ourselves at the beginning of a new year. We go full speed ahead in our efforts to be better people only to feel bad about ourselves at the first set back. Stop that vicious cycle.
Start by asking yourself if you are doing what you want to be doing right now? I should confess I saw this in the Oprah magazine last night while I was standing in the check-out stand. I took the bait and thought about the question, I am still thinking about it.
Look around at your life, your surroundings, your friends and your family are these people lifting you up or dragging you down. If you are not doing what you want to be doing ask yourself what is blocking you. Start actively thinking about what inspires you, see yourself inspired, surround yourself with people who make you feel inspired. Imagine yourself in 2011 doing exactly what you want to be doing. I bet if you believe it and see it already happening you will have a great year.
Most importantly remember that whatever you want to be doing can be whatever you want it to be. Money, job, family, relationships, and health. Choose one of the above or all of the above.
HAPPY 2011.
